Noticed at Walajah Road station towards Ranipettai line electrification work started. But still full fledged work till Ranipettaii not completed. Hope it will be complete soon. Walajah Road station located in between Chennai Central - Katpadi section . To reach Walajah, Ranipettai & Arcot this is the nearest station. Walajah Road to Ranipettai single line work was completed few years before. Aksi freight traffic has been operating regularly between Walajah Road to Ranipettai section . Hope passenger train service from Ranipettai to Chennai will be operate after electrification work completion . But Tindivanam - Nagari New line project work is progressing at very slow speed due to delay in land acquisition and poor fund allocation over these years.. Had mutton biryani in a famous hotel called Star Biryani at Arcot. Taste was good . From Chennai to Walajah Road travelled in Brindavan SF Express. Ticket cost Rs 80 + convenience fees for second sitting reservation. From Walajah Road station to Walajah town, share autos frequently available . Cost around Rs 20 per person. From Walajah town frequent local town bus available to Ranipettai & Arcot. Ticket cost Rs 10. Just around 10 to 15 minutes travel time.
