Welcome back to another video. On the 14th of February 34067 was booked to work the Valentine white rose all the way from London to York, which is quite rare for the loco to do the full portion or even do any London - York charters as its usually black 5s. The original plan was to catch Tangmere at five spots on the outbound journey, our friend MTRF was also supposed to be joining us for the majority of our chase. However, after MTRF bagged his first shot he missed his train to Spalding due to delays meaning he ran straight to Doncaster and I worded him up on a good foot crossing where he walked to and got a brilliant shot. For me, I bagged a shot at Spalding that was quite a disappointment as the platform was busy and I moved at the last minute as I folded under pressure of an approaching 66. Then, my group went to Ruskington whilst the train stopped at Sleaford, where we caught a very good shot of the train storming off the junction, bar the sun glare. After this we were supposed to go to a spot near Doncaster, but after a crash on the motorway our plans were shattered as travel times went up for the rest of the chase. We ended up throwing the towel in and going back to York at this point. After being at York station for a few hours, we sped down to Church Fenton & Kirkstall Forge to catch Tangmere yet again running back to Carnforth. I have included @MTRF-YT s footage as a collaboration with him, please let me know what you think. Please do check out his channel.
