Welcome to Sandy's #DigIntoTaiwan series. This video is about a day I spent with "Taiwan Kidney Foundation", an NGO in Taiwan that aims to prevent chronic kidney disease through professional research, health promotion events and fundraising. I went to Yilan with these NGO fellows and saw how they incorporated different topics into their health promotion mission. From screenings, knowledge sharing, yoga to dance activities, participants from the community all went back home with smiles! Let's not forget preventing chronic disease is also an important part of public health. It's never too late to pick up healthier habits for our mental and physical health.
