GoPro Kayaking RAW: Karnali River, Nepal // 7 days

These are some GoPro Raw shots of a 10 Day Kayaking Trip to the Humla Karnali River in Nepal. I filmed a lot more than this. This is the short version that should show some good moments and impressions and give a humble vision of what this place has to offer. Day 1 and 2 We started in Kathmandu. It took us 2 days with around 16 hours of driving from west to east of Nepal. We reached the put in beach in the afternoon of the second day Day 3 & 4: The first 2 days on the water were good to get used the whitewater. It started calm with some fun class III-IV in between. There were plenty of opportunities to play the river. Day 5 & 6 had the biggest rapids to offer. Everything was runneable class IV. But also the stuff in between was great and offered plenty of fun rapids with waves, eddylines and stunning landscapes. Day 7, 8 & 9: The gorge opened up and the river got way more flat. After we’ve left the biggest days behind us, everything got more calm. It was the time for new things. People changed from raft to kayak, enjoyed the easier whitewater that got nonetheless up to ww III or just let it flow and cheer the good riverlife. In between the days we also had the opportunity to check out some of the villages and their inhabitants which was extremely grounding. The people were super grateful and happy. It was good for everyone that there was no cellphone access at all. We passed the time with basic tasks like building up camp, collecting firewood, cooking, decorate paths with stones and shells or just talk together, doing yoga, reading and just realising how good it is experience all those things. The camps and the food the guys provided were amazing. They did a crazy job during the whole Trip. Thank you for make this possible! Everyone on this trip had a great time. It doesn’t matter if you are crushing every whitewater or have never been on a Raft/in a kayak, you’re gonna have the time of your life.
