K.C. Murdock - The Voice Audition

After attending a Blake Shelton concert with my Sisters I upheld my promise to the girls sitting in front of me to audition for #TheVoice and this is my audition reel that I made for that on July 30th 2015 that I forgot about and just found. I missed my The Voice audition, because that weekend I was being paid to film at New York Comic Con; and never sent in another audition. Which I should have if you read on. Since then: 2017 started my health issues with Arthritis and Neuropathy issues. Both these factors, especially the arthritis in my jaw, have left me unable to sing for multiple reasons. Major Pain being the first and foremost reason, I can no longer control my vocal chords fully (slur my words, can't hit my full range), could pass out from singing, and the days to weeks of issues it causes me in my neck, head, and throat afterwards. Also in 2019 my Sister, Tina, that took us to that Blake Shelton concert over dosed. So life changes drastically and fast sometimes.Enjoy your passions and don't take them for granted. Also don't take the gift of music or the ability to sing for granted either. I never did, but after 3 years of not being able to even make it to a chorus it hurts my soul in ways I could never explain. And who knows? Maybe I can send this in to #SONGLAND as a song writer instead of a #Singer now?
