As Black History Month comes to a close, we reflect on the stories, achievements, and lasting impact of Black Americans across our nation, our state, and here in our community. This month allowed us to learn, honor, and recognize leaders like Carter G. Woodson, Lincoln and Eleanor Ragsdale, and Avondale’s own Randall McDaniel — individuals whose dedication, courage, and service continue to inspire generations. In Avondale, we remain committed to celebrating the diverse voices and histories that shape our City.
