One week later : -lots of rope, cardboard, plastics, foam, webbing cut -wood carved, pointed, notched, cut down, limbed out An edge retention run on cardboard, standard Class I type blade which would be expected as this is a scalpel so it is likely a 3-5Cr13-15 class steel. Very easy to sharpen this blade in a number of different ways : a) pop off the blade sharpen as normal b) sharpen the leading edge as normal c) use the built in angle-guides to sharpen on a stone Blade is very easy to take off and pup on bare handed, however it could be an issue when very cold or rushed. The lock broke in quickly but stabilized at the half way point. No issues with it disengaging, but the low strength of the blade is likely to be the limiting factor.
