Taking control of the Apollo Spacecraft on top of the Saturn V Launch Vehicle, we depart Cape Canevral, FL and head for Earth's Moon, where we transfer to the Lunar Module and land near the Godin Crater, located east of Mare Cognitum, south of Rima Ariadaeus, west of Mare Tranquillitatis where the real life historical Apollo 11 flight made it's landing in the Lunar Module nicknamed 'Eagle'. Lots of things went wrong, lots of mistakes were made, of carelessness and ignorance alike, but at the end of what has amounted to nearly 100 hours in-game, I made a leap to try and get the 'One Small Step' achievement - Launch to Lunar landing in one go, without any save states. Do I make it? Watch and find out! The video is highly edited to leave mostly the relevant bits in, feel free to watch at 2X speed and use the timestamps below: 0:00:00 - Launch Preparations T-25 min 0:04:20 - Takeoff 0:07:08 - First Stage Engine Cutoff 0:10:54 - Second Stage Engine Cutoff 0:11:56 - S-IVB Engine Cutoff 0:12:15 - Environmental Control Setup 0:20:51 - Trans-Lunar Injection Setup 0:31:36 - Trans-Lunar Burn Ignition 0:35:45 - Transposition & Docking prep 0:38:47 - CSM/LV Separation 0:42:17 - Manual Docking Approach 0:46:41 - LM Extraction 0:49:24 - BBQ Roll Setup 0:51:43 - CSM and LM depart for the Moon 0:52:30 - O2 Flow High Light & SM RCS Temps 0:54:49 - Lunar Decelartion Burn Prep 1:03:48 - Lunar Decelartion Burn Ignition 1:05:31 - Orbital Correction Maneuvers 1:15:50 - LM Transfer 1:18:20 - LM Set Up & Separation Prep 1:32:14 - LM Separation & Descent prep 1:36:10 - CO2 Alarm 1:37:20 - Lunar Powered Descent Initiation 1:40:23 - Lunar Landing 1:47:24 - Touchdown 1:50:21 - Lunar Surface Egress & EVA
