A glitch in the PC DOS version prevents you from going back to the beginning after killing the sorcerer (the adventure must end where it started). But another glitch allows you to go back to the beginning, without sacrificing yourself at the end. Glitches explanation: Whenever you go to an empty screen (non-existing room) and the game doesn't know where you should be, it positions you back in the first screen (room). After killing the sorcerer, going back to the first screen means you won. Leaving the bow on the ground gives you the shield. Leaving the shield on the ground gives you the bow.
