Update: I removed my unit and sent it to Ebay user "Quality Auto Services" for a $279 repair. Took just over a week from the time I shipped it out to the time I got it back in my hands. It has only been one day, but it all works perfect. I had a bunch of dead buttons that all work now and they do warranty their work. Removal procedure for getting the climate control panel out of a 2013 to 2016 Lincoln MKS. I did this video once everything was apart but it is more info than I was able to find anywhere else on Youtube. List of Operations: 1) Start car and put in neutral 2) Set parking Brake 3 )Shut off car while in neutral 4) Disconnect battery 5) Remove two screws from under the bottom back end of panel below the steering column 6) Pop this panel toward you to disengage it. 7) Pop sides of center console out away from the center console 8) Remove the rectangular top ring of the center console storage 9) Remove center console top wood grain panel (the one with the little compartment) pull it up at the rear and then tug it back away from the dash 10) Remove the two screws that are just to the side of where that little compartment 11) Pop off the wood grain piece over the glove box 12) Disconnect the glove box damper and swing down the glove box by flexing back the holding tabs at the top of the glove box 13) Remove the two 7mm screws that were behind the wood trim over the glove box 14) Pop the forward side panel wings of the center console/dash in order to expose the one screw on each side of the climate control panel. 15) Remove these two screws reach behind this panel to unclip the one plug in the rear. 16) Pop the panel towards you to remove.
