"The Afternoon of Democracy" 2025 Kuyper Lecture with Gert-Jan Segers

The Center for Public Justice (CPJ) hosted its 28th Annual Kuyper Lecture, delivered by Gert-Jan Segers on the topic "The Afternoon of Democracy: How Faith Can Save Government of, by, and for the People” on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Gert-Jan Segers outlined a path for faith in democracy and offered hope for a new morning in our free societies. Gert-Jan Segers' remarks were followed by a discussion featuring Chris Seiple, president emeritus of the Institute for Global Engagement, and Stephanie Summers, CEO at the Center for Public Justice. The Center for Public Justice’s annual Kuyper Lecture is named after Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920), an influential Dutch scholar-statesman whose many contributions to public life influence Christians today.
