In no way did I intend any harm, just wanting to share the incredible music. The Sky By Sorella was a band from Indianapolis, Indiana. They were active in the mid-nineties and disbanded in the same decade. Billy Sprague (from Ordination of Aaron), Benjamin Shire, and Nate Spainhower all played in the band as well. Those three played in another very underrated group called "Closer" releasing a 7" single on Arcade Kahca in '96. Discogs mentions Tara as a member however I was unable to find their last name unfortunately. Sonically, they fused noisy and depressive emo with dirge-like slowcore to wonderful effect. Their music is beautifully miserable, a remarkably idiosyncratic combination of atmosphere and subdued anger. Visually, the cover art is a perfect representation of this 7" -- apocalyptic skyscapes and painted sunsets are evoked in my mind while listening. These two songs are the only tracks to have ever surfaced from the band, which is unfortunate as I would've absolutely loved to be able to hear more from these guys. Gothic, depressive, and ethereal, this release is a gem that deserves to be heard by way more people.
