He holds an LL. B (Honours) from Khartoum University and an LL. M and J.S.D (Doctor of Juridical Science) from Yale University.He has authored or edited over forty scholarly books on a wide variety of subjects and two novels on the crisis of identity in the Sudan, and has held positions in leading American universities and think tanks. Atem Yaak Atem Moderator Atem is a South Sudanese translator, author and journalist with an experience spanning more than 40 Years. He is a graduate of the University of Khartoum where he received a B.A in English and Philosophy, and the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK, an M.Ed. Ustaz Atem did his advanced training journalism in Khartoum, Sudan and (former) West Berlin, Germany and London College of Printing. Currently, he lives in Australia, where he works as a translator (English-Dinka and Arabic-English). His latest publication in a volume of Aesop,s Fables in Dinka. During the Sudan second civil war, Atem Yaak Atem was founding director of Radio SPLA during the time in which he attended several peace talks to end the war.
