Jessica Begg is a Registered Dietitian and Clinical Counsellor at Shift Nutrition & Counselling. She helps people heal from overly emotional eating and binge eating and has worked over 10 years in multiple eating disorder treatment programs. She now works with her clients individually, but also within her online group program Connected Eating. To quote her and her website, "Growing up in a mixed-race household, one of the primary messages in our home was this: food is the conduit for love. My mother is Chinese, so we adopted much of her tradition around food. In our house growing up, we were taught to use food as a way to show love and respect for others. There was always an abundance of food and an abundance of love. It helped me to see that there are varied ways of eating, celebrating with food, and relationships with bodies. This type of love and self-care is something I want to pass on to my clients." --- New From The Trauma Therapist Podcast The Trauma Therapist Newsletter: https://bold-field-2905.ck.page/ca2f0...
