An epic adventure unfolded riding motorcycles through the majestic Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, where towering sequoias, winding canyon roads, and breathtaking scenery set the stage. Camping at Big Meadows Campground made the journey even more memorable, as the camaraderie shared with my adventure moto riding buddies, Kuya Gerry and Ronald, turned the trip into an unforgettable blend of thrills, laughter, and the pure joy of exploring these wild National Parks together on 2 wheels 😎🏍️👊🏻 Climbing Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park is a short but steep adventure up about 350–400 stone steps carved into a granite dome. The exposed staircase, with handrails for safety, winds along the rock’s edge and offers increasingly dramatic views as you ascend. At the summit (6,725 feet), you’re rewarded with a breathtaking 360° panorama of the Sierra Nevada, the Central Valley, and the surrounding sequoia forest. It’s a quick, challenging climb that combines a burst of effort with one of the park’s most spectacular payoffs. A motorcycle ride from Sequoia to Big Meadows Campground takes you east on Highway 180 toward Kings Canyon, then about 6 miles down the Generals Highway before turning left onto Big Meadows Road (Forest Road 14S11). From there it’s roughly 5 miles on a narrow, partly unpaved one-lane road to the campground at 7,500 ft. Expect slower speeds, limited services, and no potable water at camp, but the ride offers sweeping mountain scenery and a quiet high-country destination best suited for dual-sport or adventure bikes. Riding a motorcycle through Kings Canyon National Park is an unforgettable adventure, with twisting mountain roads, towering sequoias, and breathtaking canyon views. The Kings Canyon Scenic Byway (Highway 180) descends deep into one of North America’s deepest canyons, while the Generals Highway winds past giant trees like the General Grant. Key stops include Grant Grove, Zumwalt Meadow, and Cedar Grove, with sweeping overlooks along the way. Fuel up before entering, prepare for changing mountain weather, and enjoy a ride that blends thrilling curves with some of California’s most majestic scenery. Sequoia National Park’s giant sequoias are awe inspiring natural monuments, some soaring over 300 feet tall and thousands of years old. Walking among these ancient giants offers a humbling and unforgettable experience of nature’s beauty and timelessness. A ride as adventurous and unforgettable as this one is bound to have future episodes! So, join us again as we continue to chase adventure on two wheels, bringing you closer to the thrill, the journey, and the open road. Special thanks to Kuya Gerry a.k.a. "The Ultimate Adventure Guru", and to Ronald a.k.a. "The Main Man Triumph Machine”, your passion and spirit fuel every mile. Until our next ride, keep the engines roaring and the spirit of adventure alive! #jayhieslifeadventure #venturacountypinoyriders #socalmotoadv
