Tony Bird and his team brought Rhydypenderyn to the Great Central Railway's 2018 Modellers weekend in support of the 16mm Association and along with a 45mm gauge layout built from scratch on tables inside the Loughborough marquee, entertained visitors with live steam running throughout the three day event. A special visitor was the Roundhouse "Silver Lady" that featured in Love Productions Channel 4 series "Biggest Little Railway in the World". This particular loco was mainly used on the counter balance incline and has milled "traction tyres" to improve the grip. This is what is making the mechanical whirring noise you can hear, however this modification didn't stop her running on conventional track where as her sister that travelled over 70 real miles along the Great Glen in the summer of 2017 has a centre axle cog wheel (for a rack and pinion system) that is too low to go over conventional SM32 point frogs. There's also some coal firing, Postman Pat's mail train and a K1.
