Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) Time-lapse and slide show

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is making its closest approach to Earth right now. It is currently visible low in the northwest after sunset. Although it is faintly visible to the naked eye I recommend a good pair of binoculars for an optimal view. Look for the comet approximately 10 degrees north northwest of the bright star Arcturus in the next few nights. Comet images captured using a Canon Rebel T8i. Widest view was with a 24mm f/1.4 lens. Narrower view with a Canon 100-400mm zoom lens at 100mm. Close up view with an Astrotech AT-92 telescope, a 92mm f/5.5 triplet. Meanwhile there is a lot going on in the October sky. The Orionid meteor shower peaks tonight (10/21-10/22). The best time to view the Orionid meteor shower is in the early morning before it starts getting light. Also the Taurid meteor shower is active and known for producing bright fireballs often referred to has Halloween fireballs. Meteor video coming soon (after tonight's peak or maybe later in the week).
