More than focusing on the craft of knitting and the beanies we deliver, we wanted to capture the emotional core of the brand; what story of Norway, hand knitting and heritage we want the brand to convey. Norway is famous for its many mountains, and draws people from all over the world here to adventure in the Norwegian hills and under our fjords' tall cliffs. Going through some of my own memories we found a natural red thread to tie our story of Norway to. Our childhood wearing hand knit wool, a red house (that later became the "factory"), a red bus (that brought our family to the mountains), a subsequent all-encompassing love for the mountains, and finally a red beanie to encapsulate both the wool and the color red — just like the red of our Norwegian flag. You see, the main reason we became a hand knit apparel company, and refuse to move our production to machines, is our heritage. The red color of the hat was first inspired by adventurers such as Jacques Cousteau, and his fictional derivative Steve Zissou, but once that was established, we went right back to our own roots to build a brand. In Norway mothers have knit for their families for generations — and my own winters were actually spent wearing various pieces of clothing that my mother or grandma had knit. This is what we wanted you to experience. A purely hand knit woolen beanie, like it was done in the olden days. From there it is easy to drag a line between the knitting and the love for the outdoors. In and of itself, love for the outdoors is a staple of Norwegian culture. We are proud to live among majestic mountains and fjords, and the wool that we knit has been shaped by the weather and landscape we are surrounded by. So when I say "hand knit beanies from Norway," I hope that line evokes more of a story and esthetic in you than just the pure stitches (which are very well worth attention by themselves.) We're proud to have come this far and are looking forward to many more years of knitting slow fashion so slowly you wouldn't belive it. · "Mars" by SILICONE BOONE playing in the latter half of the film: @SlimBearSam · VIDEOGRAPHY and edit: @kevinerdvig4293 #Norway #Heritage #Fjords #Norway4K #NorwayLife #NorwayNature #Norwegian #Mountains #MountainScenery #Fjord #Beanies #Beanie #Toque #FishermanBeanie #WatchCap #Knitwear In general it is worth writing a lot just so you find this if you search for Norway, Norwegian heritage, Norwegian hand knit beanies, Norwegian culture, Norwegian handcraft. These are all relevant searches, at least in my opinion. But I want to highlight that in this video we are honing in on Norway. Showing off Norway's great nature. Her hills and cliffs and fjords. We love Norway deeply, and both through the script and the videography we aim to honor Norway, it's heritage and its culture. If you've ever wanted to travel to Norway, this video might be a great first look. May we entice you to come see our Norwegian fjords and mountains. Norwegian knitting is also very relevant to whoever wants to watch this video. We dive deeply into two main things: Norwegian knitting, and Norwegian nature. So I hope you find us, in all your searching for Norwegian videos, and see you later.
