Trying to get the exact date for this event. Following on from a very successful fund raising and charity event in the old Crosby pool, where members of the diving club got their friends and acquaintances to get themselves sponsored to play pool underwater. From recollection I think we raised about three and a half thousand pounds,and gave half of it to the RNLI. The event gained national publicity and obviously attracted interest from further afield. This film crew came all the way from Japan to film this and paid for the hire of the pool into the bargain. It was filmed during a weekday, so there were not many that could lend a hand due to work commitments. Nevertheless, it was a very successful event.
