Jake Pfarr has noticed something: the kids in his classroom are more afraid to fail than ever before. In this performative talk, Jake explains how we might be able to help them by letting them pursue activities with "immediate feedback"— like tap dancing. Jake Pfarr is an artist and teacher who has performed and taught around the world. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelors degree from Oklahoma City University and is a member of Actors’ Equity Association. After performing in New York City and appearing in over 30 professional shows and musicals, Jake now owns and operates Theatre Arts, a performing arts school in Broken Arrow, OK with his wife, Jana, where he teaches the performing arts. He has also served on faculty at the University of Tulsa furthering the American art form of tap dancing. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
