#chickenrecipes #chickenredcurry #kavitaskitchenrecipes #cookwithkavitaskitchen Chicken Red Curry | Mangalorean Style Chicken Red Curry Recipe | Chicken Curry by Kavita Kitchen Ingredients to prepare Red Chicken Curry 1 kg chicken Dry roast : 1.5 tbsp coriander seeds 1 tsp Cumin seeds 5-6 Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp Poppy seeds 10-12 Red chilli 2 pieces of cinnamon stick 3 star anise petals 3 cardamom 1 black cardamom 5 cloves Few curry leaves 2 tsp oil 2 medium size onion 5 garlic cloves 1 inch ginger 1 medium size tomato 1.5 cup coconut 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 marble size tamarind Add little water and grind to a smooth curry paste. To prepare Red Chicken Curry 1 tbsp ghee +2 tbsp oil 1 large size onion Few curry leaves Add chicken On a high flame, fry chicken till the colour changes 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder 1 tsp salt Cook on medium heat till the pieces are tender or 50% done. Add curry paste, mix well with released chicken water, add masala water (gravy should be thick). Add salt, cover the pan and cook on low heat till chicken pieces are completely cooked. After 5-8 minutes, adjust the salt if required. Garnish with ghee fried onion and coriander leaves. Cover the pan for 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy with Sanna,Appam,Neer dosa.
