I finally got around to jamming with Justmat’s brilliant Otis script on the Norns—and wow, what a ride. Otis is a delay/looper/sampler inspired by Peter Blasser’s legendary Cocoquantus, but it takes the concept to the next level with stereo processing, built-in recording, and a magical workflow. Named after Justmat’s childhood pet, this script feels alive. In this jam, I’m triggering samples on the Disting NT using a piano keybed, passing them through the lush Sealegs delay/reverb from Intellijel, and then into Norns running Otis.
