Why I Stopped Wearing Wool? | Reality of Wool Industry | Veganism | Animal Rights

The first step of any kind of animal farming is breeding aka forced impregnations. Animals are labelled as resources so new ones need to be brought into existence to constantly feed the market demand. Breeding goes directly against the principle of Veganism as we are exploiting another sentient beings body for our benefit. Next shearing aka shaving off wool is cruel for the following reason. The people doing the action are paid per quantity of wool sheared in a particular time. So the animal has all four legs tied up and is manhandled as blades are run across it's body to shear. In order to make more money the wool is plucked forcefully (like plucking our hair) and deep cuts are made on the sheep's body as the worker tries to shear as fast as they can. These bloodied sheep are then kicked out and new ones are brought in. (If you don't believe me please search for videos online). Ask yourself if a woman or child were tied up and had that happen to their hair, is that fair? Even if it was painless which it clearly isn't, how is it ours to take? Finally what do you think happens to sheep who get old and can no longer produce wool. Do they go to a retirement home or do they get their heads chopped off in a slaughter house? From birth to death it is a life of pain and misery. Always remember, animal USE is animal ABUSE.
