In this presentation, Brendan O'Brien addresses the transportation needs of the nation’s capital and will look in detail at the future plans to keep the city moving. Presenter Brendan O' Brien - Head of Technical Services (Traffic), Environment and Transportation Department, Dublin City Council Brendan is responsible for traffic management throughout the city, transportation forward planning, public lighting, noise and environmental monitoring and is the LUAS Cross City project coordinator for DCC. Brendan has been involved in initiatives such as the introduction of the 5 axle HGV ban, College Green Bus Gate, roll out of the Canal Way segregated cycle route, and the nationwide roll-out of the bus, train and tram real time information system which tracks in real time bus, tram and rail arrivals at over 10,000 stops throughout Ireland.
