WALKING IN SURREY | GODSTONE AND SIR GEORGE GILBERT SCOTT

Welcome back to Surrey everyone! In this video I'm joined by the very lovely Candice for this 3.75 mile circular walk in and around the villages of Godstone and Tandridge in Surrey. We are keeping our day walks to 5 miles or less during these winter months due to the reduced daylight hours and unpredictable weather. This was the 4th or 5th attempt at this walk, due to bad weather and other commitments elsewhere. We finally got it done and it was a cracker! The theme of this video is architecture, in particular the work of Sir George Gilbert Scott, he actually lived in Godstone and did a lot of restoration work on both parish churches that we visited as well as the magnificent alms houses and chapel! We stopped for lunch at Tandridge church and reviewed a Cornish Rattler Pineapple cider, kindly given to me by James and Mary from Bad Hair Adventures.
