Rebranding Al Nusra Front: Syrian rebel group Al Nusra Front has parted ways with Al Qaeda, changed its name, and declared its independence from all other affiliations. It's a cleaning up shop of sorts for the heavily armed group left out of international peace talks, overshadowed by its notorious ties to Osama bin Laden's brainchild. But it's also being considered a strategic move met with Al Qaeda's blessing, allowing its trained fighters to zero in on its fight against the Syrian regime and other rebel groups.
