Here's a video about the two Corvette C8 Z06 GT3.R race cars of TF Sport in action at Imola Circuit last March during a test day by Kateyama, ahead of the Italian round of the 2024 FIA WEC last April. The C8 GT3.R is Chevrolet's first racecar that fully meets FIA technical regulations for GT3 cars (previous GT3-class Corvettes were built by Callaway). Design and development of the mid-engine Z06 GT3.R is a collaboration between GM’s Competition Motorsports Engineering division and Pratt Miller Engineering to primarily compete in the LMGT3 and GTD & GTD Pro classes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, respectively. With an eye specifically toward customer racing, the Z06 GT3.R will be eligible for multiple championships around the world in which GT3s are accepted. The Corvette Z06 GT3.R features a 5.5L, flat-plane crankshaft DOHC LT6 V8 engine derived from the production Z06. This engine began on-track development in 2019 with the initial testing of the C8.R.
