In this video, recorded live at the Pride & Equity Tokeativity Social on June 12th, 2021, Timeka Drew, Founder of Biko Flower speaks on how to apply for a social equity license. ABOUT TIMEKA DREW: Timeka is an operating social equity license holder and seasoned industry executive. She is the recipient of a social equity retail storefront license in LA and is the founder and CEO of Biko, a CA cannabis brand focused on producing luxurious, effective products. Timeka is also currently the VP of Strategy and Compliance at Stachs LLC, the plant-touching subsidiary of Eaze. Timeka is a co-founder of Our Academy, a non-profit workshop and mentorship program for minorities in cannabis. She is the former EVP of Strategy and Innovation for 4Front Ventures and was responsible for deploying their Catalyst Fund that was created to empower social equity applicants by capitalizing and supporting them building their cannabis businesses. Drew is the former National Director of the Liberty Tree Foundation, serving the grassroots democracy movement through a variety of people-centered projects, and is an active member of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign. She entered the cannabis industry in the early 2000’s as a medical patient and advocate.
