What is the quality of the mind in a state of meditation? Can the mind be free of the past? Investigating the ending of sorrow is part of meditation. Is there a way of observing thought without control or giving it a continuity, but observe so that it ends? If thought continues, the mind is not quiet. Every form of conflict dissipates energy. The mind must be free of words, images and the past.
