If you've been fascinated by seeing the colossal and bizarre jungle plants battle for supremacy on your TV, then Gunnera manicata, Tetranapax Papyrifera 'Rex, Paulownia tomentosa, Ricinus plus giant pumpkins and sunflowers are all great for capturing the magic of the plant kingdom in your garden. All grow well from either small plants or others seed so are great plant ideas for building a garden on a budget. The pumpkins and sunflowers are especially great for beginner gardeners and introducing children to growing from seed with their fast growth and bold colours. Whether having a competition to grow the tallest sunflower, the biggest pumpkin or the pumpkin with the longest vines, they're incredible plants that I still enjoy growing to this day!
