In this video, we break down why Astro Bot has received a PEGI 7 rating. Story: Astro Bot is an action-adventure game developed by Team ASOBI. In this platformer, you take control of the robot Astro, as he sets out on his quest to rescue his crew across more than 50 different worlds! As players jump, punch, slide and fly across a variety of challenges in different environments, they will collect coins and puzzle pieces, while encountering cameos from iconic Playstation heroes, in the form of the game’s VIP bots! Age Rating: Astro Bot has been rated a PEGI 7, meaning it’s not suitable for anyone under the age of 7 years old. This game has received a PEGI 7 because it features pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children and mild combat and violence, that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy characters. Damage reactions are unrealistic, with most characters simply disappearing in an explosion or breaking into parts when defeated. There are frequent boss fights, and some bosses may be scary to young children. One level has a casino theme. Astro traverses a map littered with casino chips and dice, and slot machines are depicted in the background. However, players cannot gamble. This game offers players the opportunity to directly purchase other games in the ASTRO franchise. Parents, carers or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child.
