Amit Shah In Manipur: With violence over the last few days adding to the continuing tension in Manipur for almost four weeks now, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Imphal for a four-day visit on Monday. Shah chaired a meeting with Manipur CM N Biren Singh and ministers of the state, senior leaders and officials to assess the situation and plan further steps to restore normalcy in the region.
