Commercial Real Estate is an increasingly scrutinized cost and aspect of business in today's economy due to the impact of COVID-19. Julia Georgules and Sam Crossan of JLL will be providing a look at how JLL uses data analytics to help businesses make occupancy decisions by evaluating talent first: where the right talent lives, how much they command in salary, how they commute to work, the ways to maximize their productivity within the office and how to assess all of those factors in the context of making an effective real estate decision. Julia Georgules is a Senior Vice President and the Director of Research for JLL's New England region, based in Boston, Massachusetts. In her role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of best-in-class research programs that serve to advise the real estate strategies of JLL's investor and occupier clients. In addition to her responsibilities in Boston, Julia also oversees JLL's research programs across the East Coast and Canada, working with markets in this region to deliver industry-leading research and insights. Julia also co-leads JLL's Technology Research Group, which authors national research publications focused on the technology industry and both its impact and opportunity within real estate markets in the United States. Sam Crossan currently serves as a Senior Vice President at JLL in the Boston office, where he specializes in tenant advisory and occupier representation services. Additionally, Sam assists his local clients with portfolio management, brokerage and consulting services globally. Sam's comprehensive 'single point of contact' approach allows his clients to focus on their core business, offering creative and innovative real estate solutions that support both short and long-term business objectives. Sam's experience ranges from assignments within the professional services, medical, nonprofit and media industries; however his core focus are the technology and life science verticals. JLL is a world leader in the commercial real estate services arena, with over 90,000 employees worldwide. JLL completed over 37,500 leasing transactions totaling over 1.07B in square feet in 2019 on behalf of start-ups through multi-national corporations, including many of the largest and most recognizable brands in the world.
