The DNA Cake seed is sprouting!!! Yesterday I performed some surgery on it by digging it out and flipping it so the taproot was pointing down.... Later in the evening it still hadn't sprouted so I placed some plastic food wrap over the top to create a better humidity dome and it looks like that did the trick. Parent 1: Gelato Sorbet by DNA Genetics is a cross between Gelato 33 and Sorbet Parent 2: Lava Cake is a cross between Grape Pie x Thin Mint Cookies. I popped this DNA Cake seed into a bag to germinate it at 8pm Saturday night. I placed a folded paper towel into the bag and used a little natural spring water from a bottle. I placed the seed in between the folded wet paper towel and then placed the bag on top of a seed starting mat (you could put it on top of a refrigerator or computer, it anywhere that is kind of warm). Finally, I placed an upside down container over it to keep it dark. I checked it again at noon the next day which was approximately 16 hours later and it already had a small tail forming. Later that night I moved the seed to a container, approximately 24 hours after starting the germination process. The next day the tail was above ground so I surgically flipped it with the taproot correctly facing down and then added some plastic food wrap above it to create a better humidity dome This is 56 hours after putting the germinated seed into soil. The genetics of this seed feels very strong! I have really high hopes about this one... Thank you for reading this far!
