The Marshall County Amateur Radio Club (K9ZLQ) of Indiana launched and recovered a 1500 Gram latex weather balloon on August 24th, 2019. The payload included a 48" Parachute, Styrofaoam enclosure, Two GoPro Hero Session 4 cameras with an external 3500 mah battery, Two QRP Labs - AprsLite radio trackers powered by one Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V battery each, and one Micro Fox low power radio transmitter. The Balloon was launched from the Argos, Indiana community park and was recovered in a soy bean field just east of Bunker Hill, Indiana. The flight lasted roughly three and a half hours and we belive reached an altitude of 110,000 feet. That is in the stratosphere or Near Space. This was the first flight for both of the APRS radio trackers and they did not operate properly above 30,000 feet. We were able to track the balloon the entire flight using radio direction finding equipment and listening to the Micro Fox transmitter. Two of the chase teams were able to visually spot the balloon with the naked eye, from the ground, at an estimated altitude of 100,000 feet. Some of the noteworthy items to watch for in the videos and pictures: Culver and Lake Maxinkuckee, Rochester, Plymouth, Peru, Kokomo, Wabash, Logansport, the Mississinewa Dam and Resevouir, Lake Michigan, and the Grissom Air Reserve Base
