(60g) unsalted, melted butter, room temperature •1 tsp. (5ml) vanilla extract •1/4 tsp. (1.5g) salt •4 & 1/3 c. (545g) all-purpose flour, sifted . (Filling/Topping) •1/4 c. (60g) unsalted, melted butter, room temperature •1/3 c. (50g) coconut sugar •2 tbsp. (30ml) whole milk, room temperature •Powdered sugar, to taste . (Greasing) •Unsalted, melted butter, room temperature . Hello, Welcome to Mary’sKitchenMtl! In this video, I will show you how to make delicious heart shaped brioches. Instructions: 1. Begin by dissolving 2 & 1/4 tsp. (7g) of dry yeast & 1 tsp. (5g) of sugar in 1 & 1/4 c. (290ml) of lukewarm whole milk. Mix & set aside until bubbly, about 5-10 minutes. I will be mixing the dough with a Kitchen Aid stand mixer. 2. Sift 2 c. (250g) of all-purpose flour, add 1/2 c. (110g) of granulated sugar & 1/4 tsp. (1.5g) of salt. Set the bowl on the stand & attach the paddle. Mix to combine. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk 2 large eggs, at room temperature. To this, add 1/4 c. (60g) of unsalted, melted butter, at room temperature. Also, add 1 tsp. (5ml) of vanilla extract. Whisk to combine. 4. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients in the mixer bowl, then add the bubbly yeast mixture. Continue mixing on speed #2, until there are no more traces of flour. 5. Sift the remaining 2 & 1/3 c. (295g) of flour. Remove the paddle & attach the dough hook. Add the flour in 2 additions. Knead for 10 minutes on speed #2, until the bowl is clean & the dough wraps itself around the hook. This will take about 10-15 minutes. The dough should not feel sticky. 6. Grease a large bowl with unsalted, melted butter, then place the dough inside. Shape the dough into a ball, then cover with plastic. Proof for 2-4 hours inside your oven with the light on, temperature off. 7. Once the dough has doubled, transfer it onto your work surface. Shape the dough into a 15-inch (38cm) log, then cut into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball. Each piece weighing about 100-120g. Roll out each piece into a 10-inch (25cm) circle, 1/4-inch (6.5mm) thick. 8. For this next step, you will need 1/4 c. (60g) of unsalted, melted butter, at room temperature & 1/3 c. (50g) of coconut sugar. Brush the dough with the melted butter, then sprinkle with some coconut sugar. Roll into a tight rope. Fold the rope in half, adjust the tip & gently press on the dough. Using a sharp knife, cut along center, leaving 1-inch (2.54cm) at the end uncut. Pull the halves apart into a heart shape. Place on a parchment-lined tray. Continue shaping the brioches. Proof for 1 hour inside the oven with the light on, temperature off. 9. Once the brioches have puffed up, remove them from the oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). 10. Brush the brioches with 2 tbsp. (30ml) of whole milk, at room temperature, then let them rest for 15 minutes. 11. Bake for 20-25 minutes on the 5th oven rack, until golden. 12.
