Opposition leader Peter Dutton says there is “no dispute” Australia has “one national flag” and it is important for Australians to recognise that. “There is no dispute that we have one flag – [I] have great respect for the Indigenous flag and for the Torres Strait Islander flag and other flags that you’ll see flown at sporting events or elsewhere,” Mr Dutton told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “People have pride in their culture and their heritage, but Australia has one national flag, and I think it is important for us to recognise that. “We have one national flag.” Mr Dutton joined Mr Bolt to discuss the prime minister’s backflip on stage three tax cuts and the Australia Day debate.
