They also praise the bar’s auto-unwind system, which automatically untwists the center lines after rotations or loops. For riders who constantly loop their kites, this saves significant hassle compared to manually unwinding, and they note that it continues to function smoothly even after months of heavy use. Another standout is the SK99 lines, which the brothers describe as strong, durable, and reliable in high winds. North has also made the back lines thinner, reducing drag and promoting even line shrinkage, both of which improve performance. The quick release is another design choice they trust, as North increased the travel distance needed to trigger it. This reduces the chances of an accidental release—something particularly important for big-air riding in strong wind. However, the Brothers do point out two areas where the bar could improve. First, the line lengths: the bar comes standard with a 10 + 12 setup for a total of 22 meters, which they find ideal for kites 10 meters and under. For larger kites like a 12m, though, they prefer 24 meters and wish North included 2-meter extensions. Second, they would like to see Velcro added for the depower rope. While they rarely use trim adjustments, the loose rope can be annoying in overpowered conditions, and many other brands offer a Velcro attachment as standard. Overall, the Brazilian Brothers conclude that the North Navigator Pro Bar is one of their favorite control systems on the market.
