This video talks about the blood supply of the OPTIC NERVE. The video is a continuation of the anatomy of the optic nerve and explains the blood supply of the optic nerve head, blood supply of the intra-orbital part of the optic nerve , intracanalicular part of the optic nerve and intracranial part of the optic nerve. In this video, we're going to learn about the three main blood supply routes to the optic nerve, the central retinal artery, and the posterior ciliary artery. The blood supply to the optic nerve is important because it helps maintain vision. The central retinal artery supplies blood to the central part of the eye, while the posterior ciliary artery supplies blood to the peripheral part of the eye. By learning about these three main blood supply routes to the optic nerve, you'll be better equipped to deal with any optic nerve dysfunction. The channel is run and managed my Dr Amrit Sahil panjwani ( MBBS, MS OPHTHALMOLOGY). #opticnerve #neuroanatomy #ophthalmology #insight TIMESTAMPS 00:00 blood supply of optic nerve 0:44 blood supply of intraocular part of optic nerve 2:50 cilioretinal artery 8:32 blood supply of intraorbital part of optic nerve 11:51 blood supply of intracanalicular part of the optic nerve 12:19 blood supply of intracranial part of optic nerve
