Today we went to try a really cool Chinese snack shop in Kepong, near Desa Park City, Kuala Lumpur. This dish is called Guo Kui or 锅盔 and is a stuffed flat bread cooked in an oven similar to an Indian tandoori oven. In fact, it’s very similar to Indian naan bread, but very flat and crispy. It’s really nice! The inside is filled with different ingredients. We tried all three flavors available at the shop today: lamb, mui choy (veg w/pork), and red bean. The lamb one comes with their famous Sichuan chili oil spread on top. We really liked all three flavors, but the lamb with chili oil was the best! It’s a cute little shop with a very friendly owner and staff. Make sure you go check them out and pick up a jar of their chili sauce if they have it in stock. We bought a jar at Bila Bila Mart store near our house. Have you tried this guo kui snack before?? Leave us a comment below. Thanks for watching!
