Whacky Shack is an award-winning two-storey dark ride / haunted house attraction located at Waldameer Park in Erie, Pennsylvania. There are very few rides of this type remaining where all the effects still work. The ride operator was so proud of 'his ride' (first opened in 1971) that at the end of the ride he chatted with us about it and then sent the car round for a second go so we could experience it all again - the video features on-ride POVs from both goes...Waldameer is a wonderful park (and home to a world class wooden roller coaster too) so well worth a visit!).
