The story is told through available footage from many sources, including USGS, Hawaii Count Civil Defense, DoD, National Guard, DLNR, and private citizens like Ikaika Marzo, Travis Sanders, and Byron Matthews. This series will go through each day of the eruption and tell the story from the lens of a Leilani Estates resident. The purpose of this series is to give a little more understanding of what it was like for a volcano to erupt in the middle of a community in which you call home.
