O Merciful Father, who looks not upon outward appearances but into the depths of every heart, we praise You for choosing Your anointed ones in hidden ways, as You anointed David through Samuel. In this Lenten season, renew our vision, O Lord, that we may see beyond the blindness of sin and the illusions of the world. Lord Jesus, Light of the World, You stooped to the dust to heal the man born blind, anointing his eyes with mud and calling him to wash in the pool of Siloam. Grant us the grace of true sight: to recognize You as the One sent by the Father, to confess with humble faith, “Lord, I believe,” and to worship You in spirit and truth. Awaken us from the sleep of darkness, as Saint Paul urges, that we may rise and shine as children of light. May Your grace dispel our shadows, expose what is hidden, and lead us to bear fruit in goodness, righteousness, and truth. Guided by You, our Shepherd, may we walk through the valley without fear, confident that Your rod and staff comfort us, Your table overflows, and Your goodness and mercy pursue us all our days. Bring the elect to the font of enlightenment, and all of us to eternal vision in Your glorious presence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Amen. = = = May this prayer and monastic chant fill your soul with deep peace, true humility, and the everlasting light of God.
