This patient was born without their adult left lateral incisor tooth, #10. Congenitally missing teeth can be replaced with a dental implant after the patient stops growing and any necessary or desired orthodontic treatment is done. The patient's dentist grafted the site at least twice with human particulate allograft bone, similar to the bone in my socket grafting video, but it failed both times. Three months before this video I performed an autogenous bone graft using bone from the patient's left zygoma. I am using a NobelActive 3.0 implant by NobelBiocare. This is a very small diameter implant that is only designed to be used for maxillary lateral incisors and mandibular central & lateral incisors.
