Scarecrow is Almost Human [ ULTIMATE TRIBUTE ]

Scarecrow aka Dr Jonathan Crane. AH the LYRICS they made my nearly cry, they are so beautiful :') Everybody knows Crane is the most heartless character there is, he's a sociopathic (I do not believe he's a psychopath, I personally believe Crane has willingly alienated himself from empathy and compassion to a point he's no longer capable of feeling so), cold, megalomaniacal, manipulative, sadistic, oppressive monster. But he's also so broken inside. He's a character who fights all the time with himself, with his own thoughts: "Am I the Scarecrow, the God of Fear and the lord people will worship? Or am I the Scarecrow, the pathetic loser who the world hates and who hates the world?" ("Scarecrow Crane" was his mocking nickname in the University, that implied that Crane dressed poorly as he spent his income entirely on research. However, the word "scarecrow" can also suggest that a person is stupid. Imagine how that must have felt for a man doing the latest research on fear, and being called stupid for his un-ethical, YET logical AND workable ideas. Crane adopted the name Scarecrow later on to be the name of the God, but we all know he has scars.) At the same time, Crane is both such a strong and such a fragile character. This video shows the roller coaster of his self-esteem. And though he picked the wrong ways and he fucked up his own life, and even though he's fully aware that he hurts people and really has no other motives than revenge, hate, power-play, sadism and studies, he will still always be my hero for holding his head high and following his dreams, no matter what ridicule he got. Because, let's face it. He's not insane. Most people just don't understand where he's coming from. I do. Sometimes so well that it scares me. And fine, this is not my last Scarecrow video.
