This is our real family sailing story. This sailing Greece family vlog begins in Mytikas, where a simple coffee run turns into discovering one of our favourite ports while cruising the Greek Islands. Back on board, Laura reflects on life aboard a sailing yacht — the realities of living as a couple, sailing with kids, and navigating close-quarters family life at sea. Paradise quickly shifts. High waves force us to abandon an unsafe anchorage and make a fast move from stern-to to med-mooring, with Ross on the lines and Laura at the helm. Soon after, our water maker fails, adding pressure to life aboard our liveaboard sailing yacht. Back in Mytikas, a violent thunderstorm hits the anchorage. Lightning strikes repeatedly around us, and one bolt hits the yacht anchored right next to us — a terrifying near-miss that leaves us shaken. In the aftermath of the storm, our paddle board is stolen from the port, forcing us to adapt yet again. It’s positive. During Laura’s birthday in Kastos, we share the news with the boys and enjoy unforgettable family time sailing Greece. A week later, Laura suffers a miscarriage, and the joy turns to heartbreak.
