Heavenly Crossing... 52254 Mailani Gonda Passenger arrives Payagpur with IZN YDM4 6686

A beautiful and lovely weather full of clouds, a countryside Metre Gauge Station of U.P., some melodious YDM4s and a little rain to make the atmosphere more mesmerizing..! Gates of the level crossing close and the semaphores mark the arrival of an oncoming train. It was the 52254 Mailani - Gonda Passenger led by Izatnagar YDM4 6686 visible from half a kilometre away, gradually making its way towards Payagpur with a moderate pace. I was standing besides my 52261 Gonda Nepalganj Rd. Passenger which was led by YDM4 6515, waiting for the crossing since 20 minutes. Meanwhile 6515 releases some pressure and the noise is loudened a bit. 6686 honks slowly as it approaches the level crossing and enters the stn. The Loco Pilots can be seen exchanging greetings as they pass each other. I continued my journey back to Gonda Jn. with this train while 52261 got the starter to proceed further towards Bahraich. This was the last time I experienced this heart-touching metre gauge section of Indian Railways, before this beautiful line closed forever.. 6 days befoe mega block was taken for gauge conversion on this, Gonda-Bahraich line. Miss you, dear MG and my YDM4s :'(
