Bear season in Michigan's UP (2022, part 1) Getting Ready.

Let the games begin as we get ready for the 2022 bear hunting season! Unfortunately, we did not draw a license to hunt bear here in Michigan, the 2022 season. We did however get invited to follow my good friend Johnny Bowler, a (Michigan bear guide for over 30 years) through the entire bear season. Come along with us and experience bear hunting through his eyes. He is hoping that he can share his knowledge with all of you, so that you can have the best season possible. I will do my best to capture the entire bear season with John and Zac including video of bears as they start to come into bait sites, what bait the bears like best, best time to hunt bears, and what size of bears are here in Michigan. Black bears are the only bears in Michigan and the population are doing well. This is the opening day of baiting here in Michigan so there was no harvest of black bear in this episode, but we will be hopefully harvesting black bear in the coming videos. It is going to be interesting to see how the season ends. Part 2 will be coming soon and who knows what Johnny will have for us next.
