In this video I measure the static thrust, power and efficiency of several common 5-inch props: the Gemfan 5x3 the Gemfan 5x4 the HQ 5x3 the HQ 5x4.5 Bullnose the carbon fiber 5x3 The results are very interesting and show that in order of efficiency we have: 1st: Gemfan 5x3 2nd: HQ 5x3 3rd: Carbon 5x3 4th: Gemfan 5x4 5th: HQ 5x4.5 bullnose But in terms of thrust the winners are: 1st: HQ 5x4 bullnose 2nd: Gemfan 5x4 3rd: Gemfan 5x3 4th: Carbon 5x3 5th: HQ 5x3 Remember however, that thrust and efficiency don't tell the whole story...
