French Ring is a protection dog sport that tests each dogs ability to not only protect it's handler, but perform a series of obedience, detection and agility exercises. In this video you will see a compilation of highly skilled dogs performing a variety of challenging exercises where they can earn or lose points. French Ring consists of various levels of difficulty: Brevet, Ring 1, Ring 2, and Ring 3 with each level becoming increasingly more challenging. It takes years for a dog to successfully complete a Ring 3 routine. This is not a hobby but a life style. I have been to events were people skipped chemotherapy to play this sport. Where tragic family passing was learned of the day before but the prior commitment to participate and assist in the event was not foregone. Dog sport is love and passion. . .
